Simple Bank (2024)

Simple Bank was a fintech company offering checking accounts and built-in budgeting to your bank account. Closing in 2021, the search was on for a similar solution by the thousands left out in the cold.

I wanted to design what I believe their UI would look like if they were still around, now in 2024.

The Home Page

I wanted transaction details to be able to be expanded with important information that a customer might need -- like an ACH TraceID Number. This would let users self-solve some issues with merchants if a transaction was unknown. Additionally, adding an option right in each transaction to start a dispute for unknown transactions if a merchant is unable to resolve the issue to the users satisfaction.

Life is complicated, but banking doesn't have to be.

Sometimes things come up and you're left with no choice but to prioritize other items. Going through one by one to pause funding to bills would be cumbersome. Adding the option to pause funding for bills helps users prioritize emergencies in their lives over a system.

How Am I Doing, Really?

Seeing your purchasing patterns and where your money is going is really important. Including a way for users to dive into transaction categories, see charts that display their purchases.. it'll help I promise.

Let me know what you think about it!
