Ongoing ride in the Superpedestrian app

Ongoing ride

Superpedestrian is a transportation robotics company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It offers an e-scooter sharing program in around 60 cities across the US and Europe as of November 2023.

The Ongoing ride screen is the main screen that customers interact with while riding an e-scooter. The screen primarily helps users navigate through the city and provides options to add another rider or end a ride.

Cities often have complicated rules for e-scooter riding, including slow-riding zones, no-scooter areas, and specific restrictions on where users can end their rides. These rules can be confusing, even for experienced riders, and can result in hefty parking fines for e-scooter operators.

I worked with the company’s product team to improve the screen. The redesign of the screen aims to simplify the navigation experience for users, help them follow city laws, and reduce the number of parking fines. The new modular layout emphasizes the vital info and show dozens of possible states.

I’ll be happy to discuss how I can help with your next big thing ✨
