Designed the site and user experience for a family photo album that was getting ready to be made public as a state archive. The user flow had to accommodate exploration use cases as well as more in depth dives into a single storyline. As a result, I created browse modes and story modes that could accommodate either workflow, and the seamless transition from one to another. The story mode traces a single story through the archive, highlighting the connections between photos throughout time and allowing users to follow narrative threads through the database.
