PlantPal aims to expand its reach by launching a mobile app that utilizes augmented reality technology. This app allows users to perform 3D scans of their plants and receive consultations for their plant's health and well-being.

Due to lack of Knowledge hobby plant keepers have limited knowledge about plant care, including watering, light requirements, pruning, and pest control. This has lead to incorrect care practices, which can harm or even kill the plants.

Most of the hobby plant keepers have busy schedule that makes it difficult to provide consistent care for the plants.

Solution

A plant scanner feature within the app, where users can take a photo of their plant and receive information about the specific plant's care requirements. This can help hobbyists learn more about the unique needs of their plants and ensure they receive the appropriate care.

A comprehensive plant care guide within the app that provides detailed information on plant care practices, including watering, light requirements, pruning, and pest control. This can help hobby plant keepers improve their knowledge and care practices.

Onboarding Steps

The first step in the onboarding process is to select your plant type, where users can choose between indoor and outdoor plants. The second step is selecting your skill level, where users can choose between beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. This will help the app to provide customized care advice and training programs tailored to their skill level. Lastly, the onboarding screen encourages users to scan their plants and receive health and well-being details about their plant. The app provides tips on capturing a 360-degree image of their plant to get accurate results.

Plant Scanner

The plant scanner feature includes a interactive viewfinder for scanning the plant, as well as a progress bar to indicate the scan's progress. The app offers both auto and manual scanning options for a better user experience. During manual scanning, users can take photos from different angles and receive information about their plant's health and well being.Once the scan is complete, a preview appears with details such as the plant's name, picture, and conditions. Clicking on the button allows users to access the full details of their plant's health and well-being.

Plant Details

The Plant Details screen provides a comprehensive overview of the scanned plant, including its image, description, and required care, such as watering, lighting, and temperature. It also highlights any potential toxicity concerns.Based on the scan results, the app provides detailed information on the plant's condition and health, along with customized care recommendations to improve its well-being. Users can access informative care guides for each plant type. In addition, users can seek advice from plant care experts by asking questions within the app. The "My Plants" feature allows users to add their scanned plants to a personalized care schedule, helping them manage their plant care tasks efficiently.

The home screen showcases some of the highlighted features, such as "Ask an Expert" and "Tasks" details, for quick and easy access. The task section is prominently displayed, allowing users to view their daily and upcoming plant care tasks in one convenient place. Personalized care guides and articles are also displayed based on the user's selected plant type and skill level from the onboarding process, ensuring that users receive relevant and helpful information to keep their plants healthy and thriving.
