The Eyes Have It

Finn and his dad are mad for mashers. This week Finn's doctor, who is awesome, told him (and I) with a wink that "mashed potatoes do not count as a vegetable." Finn and I smiled, knowing much the better. Of course we make sure there are some green beans, or some broccoli saddled up next up to those mashers. Silly doctor. When I was Finn's age, my pediatrician told my mom that "Stephen doesn't NEED mashed potatoes." I think we gave him the same smile. A little vice in life. That's the thing. I'm sorry Mr. Pancreas.
