The Spell
This little scene takes place in the 1700s and tells the story of a sorceress named Gertrude who was part of the royalty and who had a pet raven named Onyx.
The crow was mischievous and one day he stole the sorceress's magic wand and decided to fly away from her while he casted spells everywhere, making certain parts of Gertrude’s body turn into different animal species. After exhaustively running around looking for Onyx, the sorceress finally managed to find him in the middle of a desolate field.... but now, what’s going to happen next?
Made this illustration as part of the exploration process for my Sculpture class. I didn’t like the final 3D result at all lol but I wanted to take a moment to show this piece because I really loved the character design.
