Funding and Acquisitions in Indian startups this week [01-06 Jan

In the initial week of 2024, 17 startups secured $88.7 million in funding, comprising four growth stage and 11 early stage deals. Country Delight led growth stage funding with $20 million, while VRO Hospitality topped early stage funding with $10 million. Delhi-NCR dominated city-wise deals. Seed stage deals prevailed with seven, followed by four Series A deals. After a dip to $80.77 million from mid-December, weekly funding rebounded. Notably, MobiKwik filed for a Rs 700 crore IPO, and Invesco valued Swiggy at $8.3 billion. The week also witnessed five high-level departures in the Indian startup scene.
