Stepping into The Black Keys feels like entering a hidden sanctuary, where funky art installations blend effortlessly with modern furniture, creating an atmosphere that exudes creativity and sophistication. The Black Keys are as passionate about good food as it is drink, offering a diner-style pub menu as well as robust options for charcuterie boards. Whether you're a night owl in search of the perfect cocktail or a connoisseur looking for a new sensory experience, The Black Keys is the ultimate destination to see and be seen in modern Southsea.

The Black Keys are passionate about what they do, constantly exploring and sourcing quality products for their customers and the logo needed to reflect this. An exploration in negative space allowed the project to hinge upon contrasting positive bottle shapes with negative wine glass shapes. This invokes both the image of a piano and a bar.

The design combines ivory white and dark slate grey, to create a high contrast but subtle monochromatic colour scheme. This monochromatic approach simplifies the visual composition and allows for a strong focus on form, contrast, and texture. This simplicity allows for a clean and sophisticated aesthetic when paired with the versatile sans serif Raleway. Creating a system that cements itself as being as modern, upscale and versatile as the client.
