GiftNow - A New GiftCard Experience
At GiftNow, our mission was to "solve gifting" by making it easier to give a thoughtful gift. We achieved this by reducing the risk associated with choosing a physical product in the typical online retail experience. Our approach allowed recipients to select their preferred color, size, or even exchange the gift before it was sent to them. However, our research indicated that gift cards remained the default choice due to their convenience, despite customers consistently expressing some form of guilt over the perceived lack of thoughtfulness in their gifts.
With this insight, I aimed to reimagine how gift cards could be purchased and delivered, focusing on closing the gap between thoughtfulness and convenience. This initiative builds upon existing platforms in the greetings card industry, but provides the option to customize the recipient experience using branding assets.
Moreover, this approach significantly reduced the barrier to entry and the time associated with generating "theme" assets within GiftNow, which traditionally relied on video, and can also be applied to single product and corporate gifting products.
