QUITIGER - UX/UI Design
How might we create a product that supports people more holistically on their journey to sobriety?
For this project, my team was tasked with the challenge of delivering a product that addresses the post-pandemic crisis of escalating harmful substance use patterns.
Our user research revealed our target demographic’s immediate social network had the ability to elicit the desire to both partake AND reduce in substance use. This crucial insight allowed us to pivot our design challenge towards creating an app with an empowering network for the modern, young user at its core.
We discovered that users were not misinformed, or unaware of the dangers of their substance reliance, nor did they lack the desire to reduce usage. We addressed this through crafting a product that kept users accountable via positive reinforcement, visualisations of their goals and a community of like-minded ‘Quitigers’ going through similar struggles.
A heartfelt shout-out to my collaborators Flo Van Beveren and Lucius Nagel - it was a joy to work with you both to bring Quitiger to life.
