Renaissance Tears - Brand Identity
Charged with developing the brand identity for a soon-to-be-launched independent Pét Nat, I took inspiration from the wine producers’ love of fine art, summer and not taking themselves too seriously. What followed was the birth of Renaissance Tears.
A daydream on the duality of the Renaissance period’s angst and awe, the Renaissance Tears natural wine is a sweet meditation for the senses. In developing the identity - and the entire USP, brand story and voice - I wanted to create an experience that encapsulated the emotions of your first sip of Pét Nat; something extraordinary and yet ordinary, traditional, yet modern; and beautiful yet raw.
Juxtaposing both the weathered art and a gothic serif (Old London) honoring the Renaissance period, with the neon yellow color choice and brand copy injected with a self-aware personality; made the end product a sensory exploration much like the wine itself!
