Baukia I

This is the second project from Michienism, a local fashion brand that produces women's clothing and accessories. In this second project, the concept used is traditional Minangkabau carving patterns which are usually found on the walls of traditional Minangkabau houses, namely Rumah Gadang, and other crafts.

This project combines vector designs with traditional carved motifs so that it is unique and aesthetic, very suitable to be applied as a pattern on the hijab.

This project uses Adobe Illustrator so it can produce work that has beautiful and soft colors. Apart from that, elements of Minangkabau culture are strongly embedded in the design which seems modern mixed with traditional.

The printing system is the final process of this project, where the design is printed directly on the hijab material.
