I'm John a senior product designer on the Sweat Wallet team.

I was recently tasked with designing a new Leagues and Tournaments feature for Sweat Hero; the quick tap reaction game and feature within Sweat Wallet.

So what was the brief?

The brief was to design a leaderboards feature where players could compete for Trophies in a league, or compete for prizes in tournaments on Discord and Telegram.

The feature was inspired by existing leaderboards in Sweatcoin. It was also a feature to reward the most dedicated existing Sweat Hero players.

Designs

I started with exploring the navigation. I replaced a button in the top left of the home screen with a 'Leagues' button tile and I created a trophy icon for it that suited the existing icon set within Sweat Hero.

The Tournaments feature could be accessed on the second level within Leagues as the tournament is also a League based leaderboard.

After the user selects Tournaments they can then choose between competing for prizes on Telegram or Discord.

Leagues

The user can toggle between Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Leagues where they can see the current champion in the hero card, their trophy and Legs.

The concept behind this was a dynamic podium to compete for status.

The final screen and graphic that needed designing was the info story screen, so the user could get some high level information about the feature.

Ready for Development

I mapped out a number of edge cases along with the feature's happy path and passed over the feature for development to our team of very talented devs ✅
