Main screen for Superpedestrian

Scooter details

Superpedestrian is a transportation robotics company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It offers an e-scooter sharing program in around 60 cities across the US and Europe as of November 2023. I worked with the company’s product team to create an improved design for the customer app’s main screen.

The purpose of the main screen is to meet users and guide them to a scooter. It also displays information about the vehicles and pricing and allows users to scan a QR code on a scooter. The new design simplifies the screen, making it less cluttered, and supports the company’s vibrant visual style.

Map view

The map displays all the available scooters at the moment and also provides important information like no-go areas. Every scooter pin on the map indicates the type of scooter available, which includes some seated scooters, and the battery status, which is the most important information for a customer when choosing a vehicle. The scooter pins on the map switch to a compact view if the map is zoomed out, keeping the screen clean and easy to navigate.

Scooter details

A scooter details card pops up on tap on a scooter pin. Depending on the market, information on the scooter details card varies a lot but always fits any screen size, language, fare rate model, and currency the app supports.

I’ll be happy to discuss how I can help with your next big thing ✨
