Overview
MOUSES, a leading real estate platform, aimed to enhance user experience and security by implementing a robust login page. The goal was to provide seamless access for members, hosts, and agents while incorporating options for email-based and social media logins.
Objective
Develop a user-friendly login page for MOUSES real estate platform.
Implement secure login options for members, hosts, and agents.
Integrate email-based and social media login functionalities.
Challenges
Balancing user convenience with security.
Ensuring a seamless experience for users with different roles (members, hosts, agents).
Integrating social media login without compromising user data.
Solution
1. User-Friendly Interface: The login page design focused on simplicity and clarity, ensuring a smooth onboarding process. The layout featured distinct sections for members, hosts, and agents, each with a dedicated login form.
2. Secure Authentication:
a. Email-Based Login:
Members, hosts, and agents were required to enter their registered email and password.
Passwords were hashed and stored securely to protect user data.
b. Social Media Login:
Users were given the option to log in using their social media accounts (e.g., Google, Facebook, LinkedIn).
OAuth protocols were employed to authenticate users securely without exposing their social media credentials to MOUSES.
3. Role-Specific Features:
a. Member Login:
Members could access personalized property recommendations and save favorite listings.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) was available as an optional security feature for members.
b. Host Login:
Hosts had additional functionalities, such as managing property listings, tracking bookings, and accessing financial reports.
Enhanced security measures, such as IP tracking, were implemented for host logins.
c. Agent Login:
Agents could view and manage client interactions, track property sales, and access analytics tools.
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) was enforced for agent logins to ensure a high level of security.
4. Social Media Integration:
Social media login options streamlined the onboarding process, reducing friction for new users.
User permissions were carefully managed to prevent unauthorized access and ensure data privacy.

The implementation of the MOUSES real estate login page resulted in a significant improvement in user experience and security. The adoption of email-based and social media logins catered to a broader audience, while role-specific features tailored the experience for members, hosts, and agents.
