Background

Platzi is the largest learning platform in Latin America with +5M users, where you can learn from Development, Design and Audiovisual Content, to English and Leadership.

Main approach

1. to maintain a consistent language across devices, we built a design system that would help scale all new design processes, simplifying friction and increasing the experience for any learner.

2. Platzi App had a low rating, which was perceived as not being usable and not providing the same value as learning from a computer.

3. Students have a variety of ways to learn, and taking advantage of all the ways to learn is a motivation for them.

Solution

We built the app with incremental releases from the main functionalities to the secondary ones, obtaining positive and accurate feedback on the study experience. We allowed the development team to work on the consistency of the architecture so that learning was smooth and uninterrupted. In addition, synchronized learning across all devices.
