Sweat Wallet: Wallet & Transfers

Hi there friends! ๐Ÿ‘‹

I'm John a senior product designer on the Sweat Wallet team. I was recently tasked with redesigning the Transfer flow and Wallet component for Sweat Wallet.

So what was the brief?

The brief was to analyse the Transfers flow in the current live version of Sweat Wallet, research other crypto wallets in the marketplace, and then create a set of improved designs based on this research.

Analysis & Research ๐Ÿค“

I carried out my analysis and research in Figjam and here it is...

After mapping out the current flow, I identified that the main screen that needed redesigning was the 'Receive' or 'Send' options Level 2 screen after the user taps Transfer on the Level 1 Home screen.

I then researched how other crypto wallets are handling this Transfers entry point where the user chooses between Send or Receive. I looked at Revolut, Coinbase, Metamask, Trust wallet and Exodus.

After sharing the research with the team, we decided to explore a Tab approach inspired by Revolut. We also changed the copy from 'Request' to 'Receive' as we discovered this was an industry standard term.

The new wallet design was using a 'glassy' aesthetic currently used in the most recent features. The wallet name was also removed as the primary use case is for users to copy and share the wallet address to receive tokens.

Below are the final designs for the Transfer Tab system

Below shows the full Receive flow being demonstrated in a Figma prototype
