Nicote App Case Study on Highway Mechanic Locator
About the project
The increasing number of vehicle breakdowns and emergencies on highways in Bangladesh gave birth to the concept of this project. Drivers are constantly stuck on the side of the road with no way to call for help. Currently, there exists no app. This is when we realized there was a need in the market, for that reason, we rolled up our sleeves and began to think.
Solutions
The Nicote app is designed to assist highway travelers in Bangladesh by providing real-time location tracking to connect with mechanics swiftly, live chat for easy communication, and offline mode data storage for use in areas with poor connectivity.
Challenge
◼ The biggest challenge was gathering data to understand user pain points, as there is currently no app in Bangladesh.
◼ Ensuring that the app could grow in both user adoption and business success was another challenge.
◼ UI design was a bit tough as we couldn't practically explore any local app, also international app needs signup with mobile numbers.
◼ Since anyone could potentially register on the app using a National ID, ensuring the safety of car owners was critical.
