HV: THE DEVICES - RED

Rouge. Crimson. Scarlet. Vermillion. Carnelian. Blood. Horror. Coquelicot. Hellish Red.

Deviations of the same. Is it Red? The only device that has been so consistent.

Red has so many subconscious connotations. Love. Anger. Socialism. Revolution. Loss. Danger. Provocative.

The ultimate device. A brand. Message. Evil and horror are synonymous with Red and Black as a combination. Blood, is often the signifier. 

Though originally the device that was unobtrusively Red has evolved. Teetering on the realm of the known, this shade has been developed through function. To spit in the compression of digital works. Platforms, choking quality. Herding homogeny. It has become a light beam of intrusion. A warmer tone. Lighter. More energy to it.

Tail lights on cars. Lava. Neon rave flyer paper. A vessel for more. A defiance to previous. A signal. Red light, the longest wavelength on the spectrum can pass through tissue.

This fascination - or even chemical magnetism has guided the work since the beginning.
