The Adventures of Ipi and Pikku

Personal concept work and sketches about a little mouse and a caterpillar living under the leaves. Four of these illustrations were exhibited in the BCBF Illustrators Exhibition (2022) and toured to Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan.

Ipi finds Pikku sulking on top of his glass house. “I came outside to see you, even though it makes me very sneezy.” Ipi says. “Let’s go in, then.” Pikku says. (Exhibited in the Bologna Childrens Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition)

“What if we build flowers that don’t make you sneezy?” Pikku says as he digs out his special box of tools and strings and goggles.

Ipi and Pikku cut and painted at least 196 sheets of paper into flowers and leaves of all shapes and colors they could think up.

Ipi and Pikku brought all 196 leaves and flowers to Ipi’s house. They decorated the whole house from the bark ceiling down to the dirt floor. “Can we play video games now?” Ipi asked Pikku. (Exhibited in the Bologna Childrens Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition.)
