Masked in Chaotic Beauty - Wall mural
This was designed during my tenure as the Joint Secretary of Fine Arts and Photography Society (a club at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology), for a wall mural. In the above design, I have tried to portray how we as humans sometimes wear a mask to blend into the standards and molds setup by the society and people around us. The way we try to find beauty in these standards even though they are chaotic at times.
The design can also be interpreted as two sides of a human or two sides of our personality. While sometimes we act with a feminine energy, at other times the masculine energy comes into play. But together, these personalities are unified into the human that we are (the diamond acting as the unifier here).
We led a team of about 50 creatives to bring the design to life. The completion of this wall mural was anticipated and highly awaited by the entire campus and received widespread recognition and appreciation by the students and even the faculty members at TIET.
