This project started from the question: How much gas would it take to drive from the Earth to the Moon?

After having the sketch I considered some of my childhood influences such as "Sideways Stories from Wayside School" by Louis Sachar, "The Magic School Bus" by Joanna Cole and "James in the Giant Peach" by Roald Dahl.

I used Procreate app and digital brushes to create a used look. My character would have legs too long for his car but would be happy to chug through the galaxy on his way to the Moon.
