Coinly World — Low Poly In App Game Design
About the Project:
Coinly transcends traditional financial education by offering a game-based learning platform, where completing educational content translates into in-app currency. This currency empowers children to construct their own worlds, fostering a deeper understanding of economics and resource allocation. The project showcases the progression from initial concept sketches to the fully realized 3D models used in the game.
About the Shot:
The first image presents a colorful, fully-rendered 3D world within Coinly's game, where various structures, including a prominent castle, a sawmill, and a mine, can be built. Each building is a reward for children's progression through financial courses, illustrating the real-life value of knowledge and savings. The pastel color scheme, floating islands, and whimsical cloud formations create an inviting and magical gaming experience.
Accompanying this is the concept art for the game, a sketch that outlines the foundational design of what would become the vivid 3D world. It demonstrates the creative process, from the monochromatic line art to the complete, vibrant game environment. This behind-the-scenes look into the game's development is both an educational tool for aspiring designers and an intriguing insight for players. It shows how financial education can be both interactive and visually engaging, turning abstract concepts into a virtual playground of learning.
