Minor figures contest

Amidst the COVID lockdown in Melbourne, Victoria, I actively sought out opportunities to expand my learning beyond the confines of my regular work responsibilities. I stumbled upon a contest hosted by Minor Figure, requiring participants to capture an image of a product purchased from Coles, alongside the corresponding receipt.

Driven by curiosity, I embarked on a journey of exploration, delving into the realm of creative product photography and experimenting with various lighting techniques that I had learned from online learning platforms. My vision was to infuse the photos with a captivating “lifestyle” essence, steering away from the conventional “product-in-your-face” approach.

Engaging in this project proved to be an exhilarating endeavor, one that pushed the boundaries of my innovation and creativity. It allowed me to step outside my comfort zone, embracing new techniques and approaches while having an immense amount of fun along the way.
