Water Report Card

Goal: Empowering Informed Decisions in Water Consumption for both B2B and B2C customers.

Quick Summary: As a consultant for Liquos, servicing clients like Google and other Silicon Valley water firms, I led the WaterReportCard project, focusing on developing prototypes that offer B2B and B2C customers meaningful insights into their drinking water through tools such as Figma, NextJS, MapBox, and more.

Introduction: During my consultancy with Liquos, I was tasked with a pivotal project, WaterReportCard, aimed at transforming how businesses and consumers understand and interact with their water consumption data. The project’s goal was to develop prototypes that could simplify complex water data, making it accessible and actionable for both B2B and B2C customers.

Challenge: The primary challenge was to devise a solution that could effectively translate intricate water quality data, such as IoT TDSBot readings and municipal water reports, into an easily comprehensible format for users. This required not only an understanding of the technical aspects of water quality data but also a keen sense of user experience to ensure the information was presented in a simple, yet meaningful way.

Solution: My approach to the WaterReportCard project involved a two-pronged strategy. First, I worked on integrating complex data sources, including IoT TDSBots and local municipal water reports, into a unified system. Then, I focused on designing prototypes using advanced data visualization techniques to present this information in an intuitive and user-friendly interface. This approach ensured that both B2B clients like Google and general consumers could easily access, understand, and make informed decisions based on their water quality data.

Conclusion: The prototypes developed for the WaterReportCard project successfully bridged the gap between complex water quality data and user accessibility. This initiative not only demonstrated my ability to handle intricate data and transform it into user-friendly formats but also highlighted the importance of making environmental data approachable for a wider audience. Through this project, Liquos was able to offer valuable tools to its clients, enabling them to gain deeper insights into their drinking water quality.
