Sightsavers Website Re-design

Sightsavers is an international non-governmental organisation that works in more than 30 countries (mostly Africa) to treat and prevent avoidable blindness, and to promote equality for people with visual impairments and other disabilities.

They needed a fresh re-design of their current site, which had a complicated and inconsistent presence. There were too many options on the homepage and the message was not clear. It was also not working efficiently on mobiles and tablets.

We focused on improving the branding, prioritising accessibility and giving the message (the problem, the solution, what can be done to help) as clear as possible.

The process was inspiring for me and almost revolutionary for the client. We created powerful designs and visual languages for mobile and desktop, strengthened the brand identity and improved the accessibility a lot. Unfortunately the project fell through due to internal issues on part of the client.
