Why I choose this theme?

Moved to Canada and with the increased opportunities to participate in meetups, I created this with the idea of launching my own meetup site.

Goals

• Ensure it doesn't look like a dating app.

• Create an open and friendly atmosphere that avoids any suspicious vibes.

About the design

Why I chose this photo

• To avoid being mistaken for a dating app, I opted for a group photo featuring both men and women of various ages. The goal is to convey that facilitating male-female interactions is not the primary focus.

• All members in the photo are smiling to create a bright and welcoming atmosphere.

Reason for selecting Amber color

• It represents energy, brightness, warmth, confidence, and a spirit of adventure.

• Suitable for a meetup platform that encompasses various encounters, such as making new friends and discovering new hobbies.

Things I paid attention to

I paid particular attention to white space. Adequate spacing in input fields is crucial; too narrow makes clicking difficult, while too wide diminishes the distinction from buttons.

SNS Account Integration

Have you ever found it cumbersome when faced with the account creation screen requiring only three items—name, email address, and password—and ended up clicking the browser back button? In such situations, SNS integration allowing one-click account creation proves significantly useful.

Reasons for selection

• Integrated the top three globally used SNS platforms: Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram.

• Included Google, which holds the top position in the global search engine rankings.

• Considering the likelihood of people from various nationalities participating in meetups, I thought these four platforms would provide a relatively comprehensive coverage.

• Users without these accounts can still register using their email address, ensuring inclusivity.
