Daily UI (13/100): Direct Message

Today's daily UI challenge is my take on a messaging app. Tried to come up with a really upbeat customer service rep to help out my imaginary customer. Not sure why but the customer sounds like he may or may not be stoned.

He's not. I swear.

He never inhaled.

And it's a school night.

Check out the prototype and give me your thoughts on the use of shadows and the change of background color. I wanted to differentiate between the two profiles but maybe both aren't needed? What do you think?
