I propose a concept of The Huberman App that will help people use science to improve their daily lives.
The main idea is to turn knowledge into app-enabled tools and protocols.
In other words, we make science actionable.
App Concept
The Huberman app will make science actionable.
It has a few key modules:
• Explore (intro course, latest & most popular content)
• Daily Routine
• Protocols
• Library (all content, podcast summaries, AMA)
• Ask an expert (GPT3-assisted search through content)
Protocols & Materials
There are separate tabs categorized by topics: Sleep, Hormones, Muscle Growth, etc. Protocols additionally will be divided into levels (starting with simple tools and gradually advancing), and include 3 main parts (Theory, Practice, and Impact).
Routines
After the user selects a protocol, the app automatically creates an optimal daily routine with specific guidance for morning, afternoon, and evening habits. The user should be allowed to work on max. 1-2 protocols at once, to ensure they are not overwhelmed and that the habit sticks.
I suggest building plans in the form of task lists, which create additional commitment and strive for completion (a tactic proven by some other great apps like Headspace and BetterMe).
