Go To Hell With The Devil

60 years ago, my 15-year-old father accidentally enlisted aboard a Norwegian tanker ship. He thought he was signing up to be a passenger for a few weeks on a ship traveling around the great lakes of North America. Instead they made him a crew member, so he spent 4 months aboard the vessel as it sailed across the Atlantic Ocean to Europe and back.

He had to grow up fast that summer, returning to Canada in the fall a totally different person. I recorded his story and have started animating it in chapters. This chapter involves waves of broken glass landing aboard the deck in a squall and how he learned to curse in Norwegian.
