My first graphic design teacher, John DuFresne was a tough cookie. On the first day of the class, he sat all of us down for a talk. He said, "Being a graphic designer is hard. If you took this class because you thought it would be easy to make simple little logos, you're fooling yourself. To be a successful designer, you're going to work harder and longer than most doctors. Anyone who does not have a real passion for graphic design needs to march out of this room right now and go switch your major."
