Department of Education and Culture of South Bengkulu ask to provide access for making appointment to the local government. They also want the website as the 'company profile' for the department, so people will know every report, news, activities, and even the vision and mission of the department.

Batik Besurek

Government service department doesn't really have a branding, but it doesn't mean they don't have cultural values that characterize their society. We use the green color from their logo as the main color. We also create pattern from traditional motif of Batik Besurek, where you can see Rafflesia flower and Arabic-letter liked ornament on it as a graphic element for the design style.

Like the other Indonesian government website, they want the website to contain several pages, such as

  1. Home

  2. Vision & Mission

  3. News

  4. Gallery

  5. Appointment scheduling

Their previous web contains everything in the homepage. So crowded and full of everything. From that we suggest separating the pages. Appointment scheduling as the main feature will come first in the home page, followed by greeting from the head of department. We also put the latest news thumbnail at the bottom, so people can still have the update of their department.

The other content will come in different pages, so people doesn't have to deal with information that isn't necessary for them, and so that information can be delivered according to its category on each page.

Appointment Scheduling

The department want the website to accommodate all its citizens to be able create an appointment. But there are so many services, and they have different requirements. And we also want that people can't spam for the appointment.

From those points, we got several solutions:

  1. In the first step they will be definite to whom they will meet, and for what needs.

  2. The second step will ask them to upload the required documents, based on the needs on the first step.

  3. Attendee will ask for their ID card number. No need to upload, just the number. The system will check credibility of the number. And if they put it wrong, or spam more than three times, there will be error message.

This straightforward steps with no branch are a great deal for the users, which commonly >40 ages segmentation with low to middle digital knowledge to ease them making appointment

Internal Dashboard

For the opposite side, we also create a dashboard to maintain the appointment. User just need to click the row or button, and a drawer will pop out. No need to open new tab, no need to load whole page, and easy to view for the other appointment. So, they can compare every row easily to choose which appointment to be approved.
