White Ribbon Competition
The project involved creating posters for the 2016 White Ribbon competition, with a focus on raising awareness about domestic abuse against women. The brief called for the depiction of this issue through three distinct concepts.
First Concept
The first concept emphasized the hidden nature of abuse, with women concealing their suffering beneath a facade when they go out. Accessories, makeup, and clothing were used to mask their pain on the left side of the poster, while tears and wounds against a black background were depicted on the right side to contrast this facade.
Second Concept
The second concept revolved around the idea of women concealing their emotional trauma behind a mask. The poster featured a woman holding a mask with a perfect smile, but beneath it, bloody tears illustrated her silent suffering.
Third Concept
The third concept aimed to symbolize the ongoing damage and pain inflicted on these women. It was conveyed through an image of a woman's hand breaking apart, resembling shattered glass, symbolizing the impact of abuse, exploitation, and perversion.
