Si Penyumpit is a folklore from Bangka Belitung, Indonesia. The story is about a man named Si Penyumpit. He is a kind and helpful man, also a master in using blowgun. everyone in the village like him and called him Si Penyumpit.

Pak Raje is a sly wealthy man. He has an extensive field. Due to its size, Pak Raje having a trouble to manage them all. He then tricks Si Penyumpit into believing that his father has not pay off his debt until his death to Pak Raje. To pay off his father's debt, Si Penyumpit works in Pak Raje's fields.

Someday, Si Penyumpit encounters a wild boar who tries to trespass on Pak Raje's field. Si Penyumpit sees that and use his blowgun to hurt the wild boar. The dart hits the wild boar, the wild boar immediately run away to the forest. Si Penyumpit chases the wild boar, but then he found out that the wild boar he hurt is an incarnation of a young woman and she has a family. Her family is angry with Si Penyumpit due to what he has done to one of their family members. Si Penyumpit helps the family by healing the young woman's wound. Her family feel grateful and give Si Penyumpit a gift.

Si Penyumpit go back home with a gift. In his house, he opens the gift that family gave him. it filled with golds and diamonds. He instantly became wealthy. With that wealth, Si Penyumpit finally can pay off his father's debt to Pak Raje.

Knowing the story behind how Si Penyumpit got rich instantly, Pak Raje tries to do the same. Unfortunately, he cannot heal the wild boar he hurt. That makes the whole family of the wild boar angry and attack him. Pak Raje come back home with a lot of wounds due to the wild boar attacks. Know he realized his deceitfulness. He tells everything to Si Penyumpit, Si Penyumpit come to heal his wound. Pak Raje thanking Si Penyumpit for his help, he then asks Si Penyumpit to marry his daughter. Si Penyumpit agreed. The story ends with the marriage between si Penyumpit and Pak Raje's daughter.
