Designing a platform for collaborative climate action
Planet, a dedicated app empowering global climate change leaders, engaged Verticalloop not only for crafting their app's UX and UI but also for a significant undertaking: redefining their brand identity and developing a new website. In its early stages, Planet was conceptualizing a dynamic project management platform to boost the efforts of green banks, coalitions, and sustainability-focused corporations. They sought a design partner capable of leading branding, UX, and messaging from the project's inception.
Our team initiated a creative branding process to define core values and establish a consistent tone. Subsequently, we crafted moodboards and a compelling visual direction that effectively conveyed these identified values. We embarked on a comprehensive naming brainstorm, iterating through three rounds to arrive at the name "Planet." Simultaneously, we shaped the logo, brand identity, and messaging while creating a website and app that projected a forward-thinking, sustainable vision. The platform was strategically tailored with segmented value propositions for the diverse stakeholders Planet aimed to engage. The resulting brand identity, poised to extend to the app itself, embodies a unique visual presence and a cohesive brand experience aligned with the app's mission of promoting environmental sustainability and inspiring collective action.
