OmniBook Concept
OmniBook 💡
In the project for the conceptual online bookstore, my focus was primarily on a smooth purchasing process, encompassing the acquisition of books and other items related to publishing and entertainment-education themes. Simplicity in user-directed communication and a visual communication hierarchy highlighting key elements leading to a seamless transaction completion are crucial aspects in such processes.
About illustrations 🤖
I designed a series of illustrations featuring a friendly robot serving as a guide throughout the application. Each graphic, from the cheerful robot with books to the somber one without any purchases, serves a practical purpose—providing information about purchases, an empty cart, and appearing at various stages of the buying process.
The inspiration for these illustrations stemmed from a quote by Stanisław Lem, emphasizing the significance of literature and addressing contemporary challenges associated with the advancing virtualization of our world:
" Thinking machines will present us with the results of their theoretical considerations, which we may be able to apply, but which we will
no longer be able to comprehend...".
