Social Media Concept UI: The Back Door Room
Hey everyone! This is my first post on Dribbble, and what I want to showcase is a social media concept that I've ideated called: Back Door Room
Back Door Room
From open conversations in the Front to curated connection in the Back, every interaction in Back Door Room is a story waiting to unfold.
At first glance, Back Door Room appears as a dual-sided canvas, with its "Front" and "Back" timelines.
The Front, reminiscent of the open expanses of Twitter, encourages users to share their thoughts, seek advice, or make intriguing announcements. Need a fellow musician for your band? Searching for a nearby lawnmower for a weekend project? Longing for a concert companion? The Front serves as the public stage where these queries find resonance, connecting users effortlessly in real-time, creating a diverse tapestry of interactions.
Once users engage in a post on the Front and wish to delve into more personal or private discussions, they can transition seamlessly to the Back Door Room. Here, a private group chat, reminiscent of WhatsApp or Facebook Groups, awaits. The Back Door is an exclusive space, invitational only, ensuring that connections made here are intentional and meaningful.
Users, who initially conversed under an alias on the Front, reveal their real profiles in the Back Door, fostering genuine connections that extend beyond the surface. This dual-profile feature adds a layer of depth and authenticity to the social experience, giving users the freedom to express openly on one side while forming more intentional connections on the other.
So what do you think about this concept?
