Intelligent Living: Smart Home Hub

As I settle into my new space 🏑, I've embraced the world of smart devices and I wanted to put my tablet to some good use ✨. Instead of just having a normal smart home dashboard which acts as an on/off toggle switch.

I wanted to build one which is smart enough, a system that can understand my habits, preferences, and needs.

The challenge was to transform my Surface pro tablet from a device controller into a genuine assistant, seamlessly integrating with my lifestyle 🀞🏻

Here are just some of the features that it offers:

β˜€οΈ Morning Bliss: Start your day right! The dashboard knows when it's time for me to rise and shine. It effortlessly turns on the water heater 15 minutes before my alarm, ensuring a perfect temperature for that relaxing morning shower.

πŸš— Commute Insights: I'll be using the Google maps API to pull up real-time traffic data, giving me a heads-up on the conditions for my daily commute. Whether I should leave a bit earlier or enjoy that extra cup of chai :)

πŸ—“οΈ Calendar at a Glance: The dashboard syncs with my calendar, displaying the day's schedule with a quick glance. Meetings, appointments, and reminders - it's all there, helping me plan my day from the moment I wake up.

πŸ’‘ Customized Automation: This isn't just a dashboard; it's a personalized assistant. Customize your routines, set preferences, and let the dashboard take care of the rest. For example, when I'm leaving home, it turns off all the electronic devices with just a simple touch

Here are a few more ideas which I haven't fully explored yet, but I'm planning to integrate soon!

🍳 Breakfast Recommendations: Fuel your day with the right nutrients! Based on my preferences and dietary needs, the dashboard suggests breakfast options. From quick recipes to a friendly reminder to grab that yogurt from the fridge, it ensures a healthy start.

🌞 Adaptive Widgets: The magic happens with adaptive widgets that change throughout the day. From news updates during breakfast to a gentle reminder to water the plants in the afternoon, the dashboard should evolve with my needs.

πŸŒ™ Wind Down: As the day winds down, the dashboard shifts its focus. Dimming the lights and suggesting calming music or podcasts – it creates a serene environment for winding down.
