DailyUI 005: App Icon

I've always been fascinated with the app icons for camera apps. They tend to be heavily skeuomorphic and feature extremely detailed views of the inner aperture of a lens. With everything going flat now (*cough*instagram*), it's nice to re-visit shadows, gradients, and other effects which don't see a lot of action in today's app icons.

I basically used tons of concentric circles and applied all sorts of blending effects by heavily abusing Bevel/Emboss, Satin, Inner Glows, and the infamous 35mm Lens Flare -- all with various quality contours. It took me back to the early days of when I got into design by playing around with layer blending options in Photoshop for endless hours at night.
