Paris, Home of Stars

Role:

Multidisciplinary Design

Client:

Goal

Year:

2021

Objective

Taking everyday images of life in Paris, preferably with landmarks included, and adding illustrations of football stars Messi, Neymar, and Mbappé into the images. The goal is to highlight Paris as the home of these prominent football stars and showcase the city’s cultural significance.

What I've Done:

I created a series of three visually captivating graphics for Goal’s social media platforms. The first artwork featured the iconic Eiffel Tower, with Messi’s free-kick finding its net in the lower part of the tower. The second artwork incorporated Neymar into an eye-catching mural outside Centre Pompidou, merging street art aesthetics with his presence. Lastly, I showcased Mbappé with his iconic celebration outside the Louvre pyramid, capturing the spirit of both the city and the player.

Creative Process

My approach was driven by a dual focus: addressing Goal's objectives while providing a personal touch to the artwork.

I took full control of the creative process to ensure my artistic vision aligned with the project's goals.

Instead of relying on stock images, I drew inspiration from my personal collection of photographs taken during a memorable trip to Paris with my iPhone 6s.

These personal photographs possessed a unique aesthetic that blended seamlessly with the style of illustrations I was developing.

By leveraging these personal images, I infused the artwork with an authentic and individual perspective, showcasing my creativity and adding a sense of ownership to the project.

While maintaining a personal touch, I remained committed to solving the client's problem by carefully selecting and composing the photographs and illustrations.

The objective was to highlight Paris as the home of football stars Messi, Neymar, and Mbappé, and I achieved this by striking a thoughtful balance between artistic expression and fulfilling the client's vision.

Conclusion:

Through a personal and creative approach, I successfully delivered a series of visually captivating graphics that highlighted Paris as the home of football stars Messi, Neymar, and Mbappé. By combining my own photography with carefully crafted illustrations, I brought a unique and authentic perspective to the artwork. The project not only fulfilled Goal’s objectives but also resonated with the audience, generating high levels of engagement on social media. The adaptability of the artwork allowed it to be used as reactive content, further maximizing its impact throughout the football season. Overall, this project showcased my ability to provide a creative solution that effectively communicated the client’s message while adding a personal touch. I am proud of the results achieved and the positive response received from both the client and the audience.Thank you for considering my work on the “Paris, Home of Stars” project.
