The History of Gin Illustrated by Steven Noble

Please to Meet You commissioned Steven Noble to create a historic montage that includes the “History of Gin” starting from the Middle Ages through the 17 Century where Gin emerged in England after the introduction of the jenever, a Dutch and Belgian liquor which originally had been a medicine in the 16th Century. In London in the early 18th century, much gin was distilled legally in residential houses. Since 2013 gin has been in a period of ascendancy worldwide. The illustration was created by hand in an etching style.
