Gorilla Gin

This one was made back in 2019/2020 (I can't remember that well) for a client who wanted a crosshatching illustration of a gorilla for his gin bottle labels.

I made two versions of it, because it was meant to be printed with UV ennoblement, which was really hard to do with all the crosshatching work that the client asked. He still wanted the first version... too bad.

I actually don't know if it was ever printed, but I still love the design and I'm using the second one for my students in Fine Arts Academy in Catania as a meme.

For those who's asking, it means monkey level, which is a funny way (?) to say that things have to be simple in order to be understood by everyone.

And this was how (more or less) it was meant to be.
