Money.tor - Aset Portfolio Mobile Apps
Hello There ππ»
Continuing finance mobile apps series. You can check others work in here
In this post, I want to focus on the asset portfolio. So let's check it out ππ»
The Problems
Starting from a problem I experienced myself, I have a problem updating my asset portfolio on my Excel. It's a little bit inconvenient to open your computer and update your assets every month. The second thing is that it does not have a visual graph, it's boring to look at that.
The Goals
With this app, the user can track their spending in the budgeting tab and can check and update their asset portfolio anywhere, anytime. It's more convenient and helps users to make better decisions in their finances.
It's a little bit complex so bear with me.
The user can add their asset right away from the bottom navigations.
On Add Asset windows.
Asset category.
There are 3 types of categories: Cash, Equity, and Alternative Investments. These categories will determine how users fill the data later.
Asset Name.
Users can type anything they want.
Asset Amount.
Users can add the amount of assets in dollars equivalent or percentages. and that amount can be added from the existing amount or add new one.
Asset Details.
If the user wants to add some specific details such as goals.
βΌοΈ sign.
If you observe, there is an exclamation sign beside several fills. That sign will show more information if the user taps, especially when the fill is a complicated one.
Cash Category
Here's one example of a cash category asset.
There will be a graph that represents the transactions of several months. Of course, the total amounts and the percentage of the total assets will be displayed in this scene. And there will be historical data that shows what happens in these assets.
When users want to change this asset they can tap the 'plus' sign to add transactions. They can subtract or add the amount. I think is a good thing to add the feature of repetition. Because most people will save regularly in this cash category.
Equity Category
I can say this category is a complicated one. Stock is a fluctuating asset, it's not going to stay at one value, and it can be up or down every second. Let's say that this app is not going to link with any securities company, so the user has to update manually.
At the top, it will be the same as the cash category. The difference is at the bottom and add stock windows. The bottom will display the stocks that the user has, complete with the number of shares, total value last updates, and change percentages.
Add Stock. In these windows will be the stock name, stock amount (the user can fill with shares amount or dollar amount), and purchase price. After the user fills in all the data they will be calculated on the bottom.
The user can update the stock data by sliding the stock card to the left and tapping the edit button.
