Case Study: Deliveristo Market Price Comparison New Feature

Introducing - Deliveristo's Market Price Comparison Feature

In a world where every penny counts, Deliveristo is stepping up to empower its users. We unveil a game-changing addition to the platform – the Market Price Comparison feature. This case study isn't just about our journey; it's about why you need this feature. Discover how Deliveristo's Market Price Comparison is your key to smarter, budget-savvy purchasing.

Exploration

Started by Exploring Deliveristo's web platform for layout and navigation insights, identified critical product listing sections for Price Comparison integration, collected visual documentation for improvements, and analyzed user interactions.

User Personas

Created three user personas - a small restaurant owner, a large chain restaurant manager, and a catering business owner, each with unique goals, needs, and pain points.

Competing Platform

Examined competing platforms on their strengths and weaknesses.

Google Shopping: Extensive options, user-friendly, some accuracy issues.

Amazon: Diverse, affordable, product search challenges, seller reliability concerns.

eBay: Diverse, unique items, seller verification issues, potential inaccuracies.

PriceGrabber: Quick compare, broad search, limited options, some inaccuracies.

Shopzilla: Extensive range, easy price comparison, but potential inaccuracies.

Opportunities for Deliveristo: Identified opportunities like advanced search filters, price history, product tracking, saved checkout, product reviews, supplier ratings, etc.

Data Collection

We assume the platform has comprehensive and reliable data, collected internally via APIs with data quality checks, and real-time updates to maintain accuracy.

There might be no need for external data sources for the implementation of this new feature, but when needed we can always decide on the best.

User Flow

The diagram above illustrates the user flow in connection with this new feature

User Journey Mapping

The provided table below offers a visual representation of the user journey map, pinpointing the challenges and opportunities encountered at each stage.

Sketching

Initiated the design process with the practice of sketching. These initial sketches served as a pivotal tool in confirming the validity of our assumptions, which were rooted in the insights extracted from our research. Crucially, this approach also ensured that we maintained the integrity of our existing data structures, avoiding any unwarranted alterations

Test and Feedback

Tested the sketches to validate the information architecture intuitiveness and content discovery. Got some feedback that guided the design of the high-fidelity prototype

Adopted The Style Guide

Adopted the Deliveristo style guide and ensured minimal to no difference between the new adjustment and the already existing style guide.

User Interface Designs

Below are screenshots of the user interface, optimized based on insights derived from the research concerning the new feature.

Usability Testing Plan Proposition

Intent: We propose a usability test for the new feature with real users.

Objectives: Collect valuable feedback to enhance the design.

Approach:

  1. Define test scenarios.

  2. Identify feedback categories: functionality, navigation, and visual design.

  3. Plan for iterative design improvements based on user feedback.

Accessibility & Multi-Language Support

WCAG Guidelines Compliance:

Ensure the new feature aligns with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to enhance platform accessibility for all users.

Multi-Language Support:

Implement multi-language capabilities for search to provide an inclusive experience for users, improving accessibility and usability.

Testing:

Plan for accessibility testing during the usability testing phase to verify compliance and ensure an accessible design.
