Logo Design
Problem Statement
The task was to create a logo for "Famomug," a marketplace connecting local artisans with customers, creating community, and fostering small businesses. The challenge was to design a friendly, approachable, recognizable brand identity that reflects creativity and local culture.
Design Process
Research & Discovery:
Local artisans and community shoppers (consumers). The artisans wanted a platform that would bring them into view, while customers needed a simple and happy way to discover unique items.
Unmet Needs: Merchants wanted a logo that would appear valuable and professional. Purchasers wanted one that was warm and lively.
Validation: Conducted interviews with both target groups to understand their visual preferences. Many favored designs with minimalistic yet warm visual elements.
Early Design Iterations
Explored many doodles, gunning for a mashup of a smile (to convey friendliness) and a market awning (to represent the idea of the marketplace).
Initial drafts also had a different angle for the canopy and the thickness of lines. Early drafts were too literal and congested.
Refinement
Introduced soft curves and playful colors—purple and beige—to reflect creativity and inclusivity.
Detail is minimized to give a minimalistic, modern look.

Final Design
It's the smiley face of happiness and customer satisfaction. The canopy above the head represents a market, symbolizing the marketplace. The typography in Farsi brings cultural relevance and uniqueness, connecting to the target audience's roots.
