Sputnik 1

Back to some Space-themed stuff. Here's one for a little ball that went into orbit on the 4th of October, 1957 and spurred the Space Race and ushered in a new era of exploration. Sputnik (in space terms) is Russian for Satellite. The four long prongs were radio antennas to transmit a  radio signal back to Earth.
