El Draque Mojito Bar

Branding elements for El Draque Mojito Bar, a pirate-themed tropical bar in Cabo San Lucas. The first design is a pair of drakes or dragons, referencing Sir Francis Drake's notorious reputation amongst the Spaniards. The second is a simplified version of Drake's coat of arms, a wavy fess between two stars. The third is a pair of crossed swords, tying back to the primary logomark.

In the late 1500s in Havana waters, Sir Francis Drake, also referred to as “El Draque” or “the dragon,” sought a cure for his ailing crew and offered them a combination of rum, sugar cane, lime and mint leaves. The elixir saved his crew and became a cocktail known as “El Draque,” now the modern-day mojito. This space offers a menu highlighting signature craft mojitos and a full bar. The laid-back atmosphere is perfect for afternoon happy hours, after-dinner drinks or an easygoing evening.
