About this project ✨

Nueden Bio is a Canada-based Biotech startup that's looking to use advancements in AI to help Big Pharma companies in therapeutic drug research, discovery and development. I was contacted to help bring this vision to life. I led the ideation, user flow, wire-framing and prototyping of the desktop web-app.

The project is currently under development so I am limited in what I can share.

Starting a research (called Sessions)

When a user wants to start a session, they are presented with a screen with 2 options: A simple form to input their search parameters, or switch to the chat mode if they feel more conversational.

Search

Lab scientists conduct many researches and store a lot of data on the platform. So I designed a flow that can be triggered with a keyboard shortcut from anywhere on the platform. Also, the search returns results from multiple places so that's easy for the user to find what they're looking for.

The blurry background is designed to allow the user to focus on the search without being distracted by the screen behind.

Managing a session

Big Pharma companies work on multiple projects with multiple sessions under each one of them. So I implemented a simple way that's also easy to learn. I used a folder system to represent each project, and the sessions stored under them.
