Salon Des Wunder Gym Catalogue

The brief for this project was provided by Wyndham City Council, where they sought design services for a promotional catalogue that encompassed various works of art by individuals of the local community. The design aesthetic was to be in line with the existing Salon Des Wundergym branding, with the final stages overlooked and approved by the Wyndham City Council's marketing department. The final piece was showcased at an exhibition in Werribee in June 2022.

Wyndham City Arts & Culture are proud to partner with Wunder Gym‘s creative mentor program to extend opportunities for practicing artists in our community.

The program is designed to encourage and support individual artist practice and develop our people’s access to broader networks, resources and audiences.

Salon des Wunder Gym comprises artworks created and presented virtually in exhibitions held during the last two years of the pandemic, 2020 - 2021. Creativity prevailed as a coping mechanism. This Salon exhibition is a celebration of resilience, bringing together the work of local creatives to greater audiences, cultivating further critical notice and accessibility.

The exhibition includes artwork responses prompted, inspired and mentored by eminent established artists, creative and critical thinkers, including: Dr Catherine Bell; Dr. Lucreccia Quintanilla, Dr Barry York Sue Maslin; Fatima Measham and Dr Cameron Bishop; Kate James; Daine Singer; The Huxleys; Yvette Coppersmith; and Tai Snaith.
