Transparent Changes

There's a spectrum of transparency, but the deeper you go to communicate proper expectations to users helps to build trust.

In this example a user has deposited funds to a set and the set has experienced some updates from the admin. Thinking about designing the user experience here, there's levels of possible communication—here's a few from least to most effort:

  1. Do nothing (not great but common).

  2. Communicate broadly through company channels (very hard to do for every change + not very efficient at reaching right users)

  3. Tell relevant users that a change is occurring

  4. Inform users not only that there is a change, but what the changes are

  5. Prepare users about the expected impact of these changes

In not only telling and informing the user here, but by preparing the user, we set clear expectations and give a delay period allowing them to exit their positions if they don't agree with the proposed new changes.

This is the type of user-centric thinking that builds trust in DeFi.
